Inspiration exists, but it has to find us working.

Pablo Picasso

I paint with my eyes open, and I sculpt with my eyes closed. I came to be an artist late in life. I began drawing and painting in 2010. When I touched clay for the first time a few years later, I felt my heart open. I still love to draw and paint, to spend time with an object, a person, a scene, to see it as it is and to try to represent that truth. When I sculpt, something rises from within, reaching out to me. I sculpt from a well of images and emotion.
